Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon oil (sesame oil)
  • 1 piece (s) ginger, approx. 2 cm
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 5 chilli pepper (s), red, dried
  • 5 onion (s)
  • 100 ml soy sauce, salty (ketcap asin)
  • 500 ml cola
  • 100 ml water
  • 700 g chicken le (s), divided into thihs and les, and chicken breast

Instructions

  1. Peel and mince the garlic. Peel and slice the ginger. Peel and slice the onions. Crumble the dried chili peppers.
  2. Heat the sesame oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, onions, ginger, and chili peppers and fry for 2-3 minutes. Add the chicken pieces and fry for 5-8 minutes until browned on all sides. Pour in the soy sauce, cola, and water. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 15-20 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F) and the sauce has reduced.
  3. Serve.
