Ingredients

  • 2 kg roast beef (bottom shell)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chervil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.5 liter ½ cola (do not use diet cola)

Instructions

  1. Place the roast beef in a large baking pan or roasting pan. Mix the spices. Pour the Worcester sauce over the roast and sprinkle the spice mixture on top. Pour the cola into the pan around the roast.
  2. Braise in a preheated oven at 190 ° C for about 30 minutes, then turn the heat down to 150 ° C and simmer for another 3 hours.
  3. Remove the meat, cut into slices and serve.
  4. The roast is soft and tastes good with mashed potatoes and butter vegetables.
