Ingredients
- 300 g apples
- 200 g pear (s)
- 100 g cranberries
- 4 tablespoon honey, or sugar
- 200 ml port wine or apple juice
- some butter, for stewing

- Wash apples and pears, peel (if desired), quarter, core and cut into thin slices. Wash, sort and drain the cranberries.
- Melt some butter in a saucepan, add honey and fruits and sauté for about 1 minute over low heat. Pour in port wine and bring to the boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer over a low heat for about 5 minutes.
- Serve the compote either warm or cold.
- Tastes delicious with vanilla ice cream, rice pudding, pancakes or just plain.
