Cookies with Almond Petals and Chocolate Ingredients

  • Wheat flour / Flour – 340 g
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Sugar – 4 tbsp
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon.
  • Soda – 1 teaspoon.
  • Citric acid – 0.3333 teaspoon.
  • Water – 25 ml
  • Chicken egg – 2 pieces
  • Egg yolk (for lubrication) – 1 piece
  • Vanillin (yolk) – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Almonds (petals, to taste)
  • Dark chocolate – 100 g

Cookies with Almond Petals and Chocolate Instructions

  1. Sift flour into a deep bowl.
  2. Pour the egg yolk and white beaten separately into the flour.
  3. Pour melted butter into a bowl of flour. Pour in sugar, salt, soda, and citric acid. Pour water over acid and soda.
  4. Mix everything.
  5. Add flour and knead the dough in a bowl.
  6. Wrap the dough in cellophane wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 20 – 30 minutes.
  7. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out circles.
  8. Beat the yolk with vanilla and grease the circles. Sprinkle with almond petals and place in a preheated oven at 200 degrees.
  9. After 10 minutes, remove the cookies from the oven, sprinkle with grated chocolate, and put them in the oven for another 5 minutes.
