Ingredients

  • 1 cup yogurt (200 g)
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup wheat flour, smooth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 ½ pack tartar baking powder
  • some Milk
  • Rapeseed oil

Instructions

  1. Put all ingredients except milk in a bowl and mix. Add enough cold milk to form a firm, smooth dough that does not stick to your hands. I have a food processor that makes kneading easier for me. But by hand, it doesn`t take more than a few minutes either.
  2. Roll out the dough about 1 cm thick on a worktop dusted with corn flour and cut into any shape. I always make pretty diamonds. Fry the donuts in hot oil.
  3. These donuts do not soak up full of oil and become soft and crispy at the same time.
  4. Tip: Serve for breakfast with a mixture of brine cheese mashed with a fork and sour cream in a ratio of 1: 1.
