Cream Cheese – Cookies with Poppy Seeds

Ingredients

For the dough:

400 g flour
250 g butter, soft
200 g cream cheese
2 egg yolks

For the filling:

1 packet poppy seeds
powdered sugar

Instructions

Knead the dough ingredients together into a smooth dough and chill for 1 hour.
Roll out the dough on a floured work surface and cut into 5 cm rectangles.
Place some poppy seeds in the middle and press the two opposite corners together.
Or choose another shape.
Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 15-20 minutes.
Dust the cookies with powdered sugar.
I have also made the cookies with nut nougat cream or jam.
Cut out round cookies with a glass, put e.g. jam in the middle and press the cookies together as you would for pierogi.
