  • Bread (rye-wheat) – 2 slices
  • Hard cheese – 30 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Butter – 40 g
  • Fresh basil – 2-3 sprigs

  1. Grate cheese on a fine grater. Peel the egg and also grate it on a fine grater.
  2. Cut the bread slices diagonally into 2 pieces.
  3. Toast the bread in a lightly buttered skillet, about 1 minute on each side, until golden brown. Cool slightly.
  4. Brush each piece of bread with the remaining butter.
  5. Then sprinkle slices of bread with grated cheese.

  6. Sprinkle with grated egg on top.
  7. Finely chop the basil leaves with a knife and garnish with cheese and egg croutons.
