Curd Braid with Raisins and Jam Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • Curd 9% – 150 g
  • Vegetable oil – 40 ml
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Wheat flour – 200 g
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Vanilla sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 0.3333 teaspoon
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon.

Curd Braid with Raisins and Jam

For filling:

  • Jam (any, I have an orange one) – 3 tbsp
  • Raisins – 100 g
  • Butter – 30 g

Curd Braid with Raisins and Jam Instructions

  1. Put cottage cheese (soft) in a bowl, add sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, egg, vegetable oil, mix with an immersion blender
  2. Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl with curd mass.
  3. Knead soft dough. Put the dough in a bag and leave it on the table for 10 minutes.
  4. Wash the raisins and dry them with a paper towel. Roll out the curd dough into a 3 mm thick rectangle. Grease the rolled dough with jam and sprinkle with raisins.

  5. We roll the dough with the filling into a roll, pinch the edge. We cut the roll longitudinally in the middle, not reaching the upper edge.
  6. We fold it into a pigtail (we twist the two parts of the roll together).
  7. Line the baking dish with parchment paper. We spread the curd braid into a mold. Put small pieces of butter on top. We bake curd cake with raisins and jam in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes (focus on your oven). We determine the readiness of the cake with a wooden stick – it should come out dry.
  8. Fragrant, ruddy cottage cheese pastries with raisins and jam are ready

Bon Appetit! Enjoy cooking!
