Curry Fish with Banana

Instructions

  1. Flour, salt and pepper the fish. Fry on both sides in a mixture of oil and butter, then remove from the pan and keep warm.
  2. Cut the bananas into slices and fry them in a pan with butter. Turn and dust with curry on both sides. When they are lightly brown, remove them from the pan as well.
  3. Briefly toast the curry powder again in the hot pan. But not for too long, otherwise it will be bitter. Deglaze with cream and crème fraîche and simmer. The color must be nice and yellow from the curry. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Let the bananas get hot again briefly in the sauce and then serve with the fish.
  5. Basmati rice tastes very good with it.
  6. You can also use cream cheese instead of crème fraîche.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
