Ingredients

  • 1 bottle tomato ketchup, simple, approx. 500 ml
  • 2 small onions
  • 3 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, dark
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon curry powder
  • some chili powder or cayenne pepper
  • 1 dash soy sauce
  • olive oil
  • Tomato paste
  • water

Instructions

  1. Steam the chopped onions in olive oil until translucent. Add a little tomato paste and deglaze with a little water. Add the ketchup, vinegar and honey and simmer gently over a low heat. The vinegar must not evaporate too quickly. Then add the soy sauce and the other spices. Stir well, add a little more water if necessary. Taste whether you want some curry or chilli with it.
