Ingredients

  • 0.5 ½ apple (preferably sweet and wrinkled)
  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • 1 tablespoon oil, neutral
  • 150 g meat sausae or Wienerle
  • curry powder your choice
  • 1 ½ tablespoon tomato paste
  • 150 ml water
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ vegetable stock powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel half the apple, cut in half again, remove the core and cut into small cubes. Peel the onion, cut in half and cut into fine rings. Halve the meat sausage lengthways and cut into thin slices - cut Wienerle into thin slices.
  2. Heat the oil in a medium-sized non-stick pan. Sauté the apple cubes and the onion rings over medium heat. When the apple cubes and the onion rings are nice and soft (the apple chunks are starting to melt), add the sausage and lightly brown everything - stir every now and then. Dust the whole thing with curry to taste (we like it hearty, there is about 1 tablespoon of curry on it). Make space in the middle of the pan and add the tomato paste. Heat the curry and tomato paste very briefly (really only briefly, otherwise it will be bitter). Deglaze with the water and add the vegetable stock. Stir everything well and bring to the boil. Season with salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar, add curry to taste.
  3. Toast, bread rolls or baguettes go well with this.
