Ingredients

  • 1 head red cabbage, approx. kg
  • 100 g lard
  • 1 glass red wine
  • 0.5 ½ cup vinegar (wine vinegar)
  • 1 onion (s), finely diced
  • 5 tablespoon jelly (currant jelly)
  • pepper
  • salt
  • clove some (s), ground

Instructions

  1. Finely slice the red cabbage.
  2. Heat the lard, add the onion cubes and let it turn to glass for a moment.
  3. Add the grated red cabbage and all the other ingredients, mix well and stew for about 1 hour.
  4. Season again with salt and pepper and serve.
