Instructions

  1. Let the hard-boiled eggs cool, cut into small quarters and store in the refrigerator. The eggs have to be really cold for processing!
  2. Whole wheat toast, nice and soft and not toasted: cut off the edges, cut the 4 slices of toast crosswise into triangles. 8 triangles are obtained.
  3. Mix in a small bowl with a fork: low-fat quark + mayonnaise + coarse pepper + salt + the cold (!) Eggs. Add the cress last.
  4. Distribute the mixture evenly over 4 toast triangles, just place the other 4 on top and press down.
  5. Tip: Enjoy as a hearty breakfast with tea or as a filling evening meal with beer.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
