Eggs Stuffed with Herring

Another option for stuffed eggs is with herring. Thanks to the butter and melted cheese, the fish filling is balanced, tender and moderately salty.

Ingredients
- Eggs – 5 pcs.
- Salted herring, fillet – 120 g
- Processed cheese – 2 tbsp
- Butter (softened) – 1.5 tbsp
- Mustard – 0.5 teaspoon
Directions
- Prepare foods from the list. Boil the eggs hard-boiled in advance (8 minutes after boiling) and cool in cold water.
- Pass the herring fillet twice through a meat grinder. Be scrupulous – remove the bones from the fillets if necessary.
- Add melted cheese and melted butter to the herring.
- Add mustard to enhance the flavor.
- Cut the peeled boiled eggs in half lengthwise, remove the yolks.
- Grind the herring, cream cheese, butter, mustard and yolks until smooth and creamy. Fill the wells in the egg whites with the fish filling.
- Stuffed eggs can be garnished with, for example, fresh herbs and bright eggs, and then serve the herring appetizer to the table. Enjoy your meal!
