Ingredients

  • 1 liter juice from elderberries
  • 1 kg apples, Jacob Fischer peeled, cored and grated
  • 1 kg preserving sugar 2:

Instructions

  1. I juiced the elderberries in a steam juicer because I let the juice cool down and measured 1 liter of it.
  2. Peel and core the Jacob Fischer apples and then immediately add the grated apple to the elderberry juice, because the apple turns brown very quickly.
  3. Add the preserving sugar and cook according to the instructions, then pour into prepared twist-off glasses.
  4. For me it resulted in 10.5 glasses a 230ml.
  5. I did the juicing a day before making jam.
