Ingredients

  • 1 kg jacket potato (s), sliced
  • 200 g cheese (Emmentaler), rate or dice
  • 1 cup cream for the topping
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 bunch parsley, chopped
  • 1 onion (s), chopped
  • 1 egg (s)
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Lay out some of the jacket potatoes in a greased baking dish like a roof tile and sprinkle cheese over them. Proceed in this way until all the ingredients have been used up. Last layer should be cheese.
  2. Topping: whisk the cream, sour cream, egg, parsley and onion, salt and pepper and pour over the potatoes.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes at 200 degrees.
  4. Hearty cheese variant: partially replace the Emmentaler with sheep`s cheese.
  5. Cast variant: 1/2 Lt. Milk and 2 eggs and possibly herbs from Provence.
