Ingredients
- 400 g flour
- 250 ml milk or water
- 80 g butter
- Salt, nutmeg
- 1 large onion (s)
- 1 clove garlic
- 200 g bacon
- 200 g mushrooms or chanterelles (chanterelles)
- Caraway seed
- salt and pepper
- some lard
- chives

- Make a dumpling dough from the first 4 ingredients. Make dumplings with the help of a spaetzle slicer or scrape directly into the boiling water from a wooden board.
- When they rise, bring them to the boil briefly, remove them with a sieve and soak them in cold water.
- Heat lard or oil, sauté onion cubes, diced bacon and chopped garlic, add finely chopped mushrooms and finally toast the dumplings briefly. Sprinkle with chives.
- A mixed salad tastes very good with it
