Ingredients

  • 700 g fi (s), fresh, finely chopped
  • 6 tablespoon sugar, brown
  • 13 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, white
  • 3 tablespoon mustard, medium hot
  • 1 teaspoon chilli sauce, super hot, or other chilli substitute
  • 150 g jam, (kiwi-pineapple jam), alternatively apricot jam
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon herbs, optional

Instructions

  1. Bring the fresh figs to the boil with the sugar in the saucepan, caramelize a little and then add the remaining ingredients. Simmer for about 5 minutes, then mix well with the hand blender and simmer gently for another 10 minutes. Then immediately pour hot into the prepared glasses.
  2. Makes 2 larger and 2 small glasses.
  3. Do not make too much of it, as it can only be kept in the refrigerator for about 4 weeks.
