Ingredients

  • 200 g couscous
  • 400 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable stock, grained
  • 5 teaspoons tomato paste
  • 100 g feta cheese or herder cheese
  • 1 pinch (s) chili powder
  • sesame

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan and stir in the vegetable stock. Take the saucepan off the heat, add the couscous to the water and stir briefly. Let it soak for 5 - 10 minutes.
  2. Crumble the feta cheese or cut it into small cubes and sprinkle with the chili powder. If that`s too hot for you, you can use less chili powder. Add the tomato paste to the swollen couscous and stir in well so that the couscous turns red.
  3. Shape the couscous into balls and fill with the feta cheese. To do this, break open the ball in the middle, put the cheese in, put the lid back on and press it on. Alternatively, press a hole in the ball and press the cheese into it. The balls should be nice and firm.
  4. Roll the couscous balls in sesame seeds and toast them briefly in the pan. The balls taste warm or cold.
