Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 100 g butter
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 2 medium egg (s)
  • 100 g marzipan paste
  • 180 g flour
  • 80 g cornstarch, fine
  • 3 teaspoons, leveled baking powder
  • 0.5 ½ lemon (s), untreated, remove the zest it
  • 3 tablespoon milk
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar

For the cast:

  • 150 g powdered suar
  • 80 g marzipan paste
  • 5 tablespoon milk
  • 12 tablespoon chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C top / bottom heat (convection: 160 ° C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. First crumble the marzipan mixture with your fingers in a mixing bowl and mix with the other dough ingredients to form a smooth dough.
  3. Place 12 piles of the dough on the prepared baking sheet with 2 tablespoons and bake until golden yellow for about 15 minutes. Carefully place on a wire rack and let cool down.
  4. For the icing, heat the milk with the marzipan mixture in a small saucepan, stir until smooth and stir in the powdered sugar. Brush the flat side of the cooled Americans with the warm icing and sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles.
  5. Alternative: For a simple glaze, stir approx. 150 g of powdered sugar with 3 - 4 tablespoons of lemon juice in a cup and coat the Americans with it.
