Ingredients

  • 8 large onion (s)
  • 2 liters water
  • 1 bunch soup greens
  • 1 pack ham, raw OR:
  • 1 pack ham, diced
  • 4 tablespoon stock, grained
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 pinches paprika powder
  • pepper
  • Curry, if necessary
  • 4 slices toasted bread, toasted
  • 1 bag cheese, grated Edam cheese or approx. 400 g fresh pecorino cheese

Instructions

  1. First, clean the soup greens and the onions and cut them into small pieces. Then possibly cut the ham into small cubes.
  2. Now heat the oil in a sufficiently large saucepan, add the diced ham, diced vegetables and onions and fry everything for about 5 minutes on medium heat. Then add the water and the broth to everything. Depending on your taste, you can also add pepper, paprika and a little curry to it.
  3. Now let everything simmer for about 60 minutes.
  4. Then fill the soup into bowls, sprinkle some of the cheese on the slices of toast, place them on top of the soup and place in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 15 minutes.
