Ingredients

  • 2 turkey schnitzel
  • 2 red pepper (s)
  • 1 can apricot (s), half fruit, approx. 420 ml content + the juice it
  • oil
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) Sambal Oelek
  • Salt and pepper, black from the mill
  • Curry powder
  • Paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 1 sachet rice
  • 1 tablespoon, leveled cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Prepare the rice according to the instructions on the packet.
  2. Cut the meat into strips. Wash, divide and cut the peppers into strips. Drain the apricot halves on a sieve, collecting the juice. Thirds the drained apricots.
  3. Fry the pepper strips in a little oil. Mix the collected apricot juice with the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, a little salt, pepper, curry and sambal oelek, add and bring the sauce to the boil.
  4. Pepper the meat and dust with paprika and curry. Fry all over in a large pan in hot oil. Add the pepper strips with the sauce, put a lid on the pan and simmer until the pepper strips are cooked but still firm to the bite. Add the apricots and let them get hot. Mix the cornstarch with a little water and use it to thicken the sauce.
  5. Season the dish to taste and serve with the rice.
