Ingredients

  • g 1,500 tomato (s), fully ripe
  • 250 g onion (s)
  • 300 g rapes, seedless
  • 250 g banana (s)
  • 2 chilli pepper (s)
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • 200 ml vinegar, (red wine vinegar)
  • 200 g suar, brown
  • salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • cinnamon
  • Ginger powder

Instructions

  1. Score the tomatoes crosswise, scald with boiling water and peel off the skin. Cut the tomatoes into narrow wedges, removing the seeds.
  2. Peel the onions and cut into strips. Halve the grapes, chop the chili peppers. Caution: If you don`t want it to be too hot, remove the kernels of the chilli beforehand!
  3. Heat the oil and let the onions become translucent in it.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients with the exception of the bananas and simmer over medium heat for about 45 minutes. Then halve the bananas lengthways, cut into slices and add.
  5. Cook for another 15 minutes.
  6. Pour hot into the prepared jars and close them immediately.
