Ingredients

  • 200 g walnuts, freshly pitted
  • 1 vanilla pod (s)
  • 2 carnation (s)
  • 1 slice (s) ginger, small
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 300 g rock candy
  • 750 ml schnapps, (double grain)

Instructions

  1. The finely chopped nuts are filled with the cloves, the vanilla pod, the small slice of ginger, the rock candy, the cinnamon stick and the grain in a large glass (mason jar with rubber ring) and placed in a warm place for 4 weeks. Stir with a spoon once a week.
  2. Then the liqueur is filtered and left to rest for another two weeks in a dark, cool place.
  3. The separated nuts can be stored in a container and used for baking or for dessert.
