Instructions

  1. Break off the ends of the beans and break the beans into pieces about 3 cm long. Dice the onions and peel and chop the cloves of garlic from the bulb.
  2. Heat the oil in a large saucepan and sauté the onions and garlic until everything looks translucent. Then add the beans and stir well so that the onions and garlic mix well with the beans. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cook the whole thing over a low heat with the lid on for about 30 minutes.
  3. At the end of the cooking time, add the tomato paste and mix thoroughly. Then gradually crumble the sheep`s cheese into the pot, close the pot and melt the sheep`s cheese on the lowest possible heat for about 5 minutes. Then stir thoroughly so that the cheese is distributed as evenly as possible throughout the mixture.
  4. The recipe is very easy and delicious, but unfortunately doesn`t look particularly attractive (please don`t let that put you off). You can also serve the garlic beans with sheep`s cheese as a side dish to roast meat, but it is meant to be more than a very spicy vegetarian stew.
  5. The amount described is suitable as a stew for approx. 2 - 3 people, depending on your appetite. Please don`t be put off by the large amount of garlic. This is very important and gives the recipe that special flavor. The unpleasant smell is limited because the garlic is properly braised.
