Instructions

  1. Place the leg slice in a large saucepan with the stock and the bay leaf and simmer for about 1 hour. In the meantime, clean and chop the vegetables and peel and dice the potatoes.
  2. When the meat is tender, remove it from the pot and sort out the lean meat for the soup and cut into small cubes. Then add the meat, vegetables and potatoes to the broth and simmer and steep for about 1 hour.
  3. Briefly season with pepper and nutmeg. It tastes even better the next day because the stew is really nice and pulled through.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
