Ingredients

For the meat:

  • 750 g minced meat, lamb, beef, pork or mixed
  • 2 small onions, diced
  • 2 slices white bread, debarked
  • 2 tablespoon parmesan, grated
  • some white wine
  • 2 egg (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 pinch (s) cinnamon

For the sauce:

  • 2 medium onion (s), diced
  • 4 large tomato (s), or a can peeled tomatoes
  • 1 small Glass white wine
  • possibly tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • some parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • salt
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. Meatballs:
  2. Soak white bread in lukewarm water and then drain. Put all ingredients in a bowl, mix well and season to taste. Put plenty of olive oil in a pan, form small, plum-sized balls and fry them over medium heat for about 10 minutes.
  3. Sauce:
  4. Fry the onions in a pan. Puree or dice tomatoes and add to the onions. Season the sauce with white wine and the spices and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Then place the fried meatballs in the tomato sauce and let everything simmer for about 15 minutes.
  6. This goes well with rice, boiled potatoes or pasta.
