Ingredients

  • 400 g beans, (reen beans or reen beans), frozen
  • 1 medium onion (s), finely diced
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoon savory
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Water or vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. Let the beans thaw.
  2. Heat the butter in a saucepan, add the finely diced onion and fry. If you like, you can add a squeezed clove of garlic. Now add the beans and stir well. Salt, pepper and season with savory, deglaze with a good dash of water or broth.
  3. Now put the lid on and let the beans simmer on a low flame for about 10 minutes. Finally, season again with salt and pepper.
  4. We have this side dish with chicken breast fillet and mashed potatoes, for example.
