Ingredients

  • 250 g Swiss chard, frozen or fresh
  • salt and pepper
  • 300 g potato (s)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 250 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 125 g cream
  • nutmeg
  • 150 g cheese, rated (Gouda)
  • butter

Instructions

  1. Remove the chard leaves from the stalk and cut roughly. Blanch in boiling salted water for 3 to 5 minutes. Peel the potatoes and cook in salted water for about 15 minutes. Dice the onion.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the minced meat and onion cubes in it. Finely chop the garlic and stir in.
  3. Drain the potatoes and cut into thin slices.
  4. Grease a baking dish with butter. First layer the potatoes, then the minced meat and then the chard. Whisk the cream with the egg, season well with salt, pepper and nutmeg and pour over the casserole. Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the top and bake the casserole in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 25 minutes.
