Ingredients
- 500 g flour, type 550
- Cubes yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- some sugar
- 250 ml milk, lukewarm
- 125 ml oil
- 200 g ham, smoked, diced
- 150 g cheese, rated
- 50 g butter, melted
- 1 egg yolk, for brushing
- Cream, or milk
- Cheese, grated and caraway seeds for sprinkling

- Mix flour with salt. Make a well in the middle, crumble in the yeast, add sugar and stir with a little milk. Leave to stand for about 5 minutes. Knead with the other ingredients. Shape the dough into walnut-sized balls and let rise for about half an hour.
- Roll out each ball very thinly into an oval shape, brush with melted butter, sprinkle some ham and grated cheese on top and roll up.
- Let the bars rise again for about 20 minutes. Whisk the egg yolks with milk or cream, brush the sticks with it and sprinkle with cheese and caraway seeds.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for about 15 minutes until golden yellow.
