Ingredients

  • 150 g butter
  • 50 g honey
  • 4 egg (s), separated
  • 300 g yourt
  • 400 g flour, (preferably spelled flour)
  • 1 teaspoon tartar baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon orange peel
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 1 pinch (s) cinnamon
  • 1 pinch (s) cardamom
  • 50 g raisins
  • 50 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 200 ml apple juice
  • cinnamon sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the butter and honey until frothy. Separate eggs. Stir the egg yolks and yoghurt into the foam mixture.
  2. Mix in the flour, baking powder and spices, as well as raisins and nuts. Finally add the apple juice.
  3. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the batter.
  4. Bake in portions in the greased, hot waffle iron and serve sprinkled with cinnamon sugar at the end.
  5. Roasted, grated hazelnuts go well with this.
  6. Approx. 16 waffles can be made from this mass.
