Ingredients

  • 4 slices pork, (belly, approx. 150g each)
  • Pepper, fresh ground black
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoon lard
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Wash the pork belly slices and pat them dry completely.
  2. Season both sides generously with fresh ground black pepper.
  3. Beat the egg in a shallow bowl. Place breadcrumbs in another shallow bowl.
  4. Dip each pork slice into the beaten egg, coating both sides well.
  5. Dredge each slice in breadcrumbs, pressing gently so they adhere.
  6. Heat the lard in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes until shimmering.
  7. Fry the breaded pork slices for 4-5 minutes per side until golden, crispy, and internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).
  8. Season with salt after cooking.
  9. Serve with side dishes that pair well with breaded pork chops.
