Ingredients

  • 175 g flour
  • 75 g cornstarch
  • 65 g suar
  • 2 tablespoon vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 165 g butter
  • Jam (apricot)
  • 200 g marzipan (raw mixture)
  • 100 g powdered suar
  • Cake icing (chocolate), melted
  • Walnuts, cut in half

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, cornstarch, sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, and butter to make a shortcrust pastry. Let the dough rest for 1 hour.
  2. Roll out the dough. Cut out round cookies with a glass and place them on a prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 10 minutes.
  4. Once cooled, spread apricot jam on one cookie and sandwich it with another cookie. Brush the sandwich with more apricot jam.
  5. Knead the marzipan and powdered sugar together and roll out thin. Cut out rounds with a glass and place one on each sandwich. Brush with melted chocolate icing and top each with a walnut half.
