Ingredients

  • 200 g carrot (s)
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, fresh peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 piece (s) star anise, small
  • 1 teaspoon honey, (acacia or blossom)
  • salt
  • Pepper, whiter
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 0.5 ½ bunch parsley

Instructions

  1. Peel the carrots and cut into 5mm thin slices.
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and sauté the ginger briefly. Add the star anise, honey and 3 tablespoons of water and mix in the carrot slices. Put the lid on and simmer the carrots over a mild heat for 8 minutes, turning several times.
  3. Season to taste with salt, pepper and lemon juice.
  4. Chop the parsley and mix in.
