In order for the khrenowukha to be successful, one should not skimp on vodka. It is important that you do not use Doppelkorn or something like that - only Russian vodka, Moskovskaja or Stolichnaja are best, both are available in German grocery stores.
So peel and roughly grate the horseradish and ginger, plus honey and chilli. Pour vodka over everything in a glass container and seal airtight, place in a dark place. Let it steep for 4-5 days, sift through a piece of gauze. Store cool.
Drink cold - even on a hot summer`s day, Khrenowukha is a pleasure.
