Ingredients

  • 10 tablespoon oil (olive oil)
  • 1 kg minced meat
  • 8 onion (s)
  • 2 cans tomato (800g)
  • 2 cans corn
  • 2 cans beans (chili beans)
  • 2 cans kidney beans
  • 4 chilli, dried
  • cumin
  • salt
  • pepper
  • Cayenne pepper
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 3 peppers, colored
  • 1 liter meat broth

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil, fry the chilli peppers in it for 2-3 minutes, then remove them again. Put the minced meat in the oil and fry for about 5 minutes, then add the sliced onions and peppers and fry for another 5 minutes. Season well with salt, pepper and cumin. Add all cans, drain the corn and kidney beans beforehand. Squeeze in the garlic and top up with broth as needed. Let simmer for a quarter of an hour. Season again to taste with cayenne pepper and the other spices.
  2. Tip: If you want it spicier, you can add some Sambal Oelek or Tabasco.
  3. The stew can be mixed well with other vegetables. The important thing in this recipe is the cumin, it gives it that special note.
