A hearty and original whip up a dish of the most affordable products – hot liver sandwiches. Ruddy, crispy sandwiches are cooked in a pan in just a matter of minutes. They will be appreciated not only by liver lovers but also by fans of all kinds of pies and spreads. Great breakfast or snack!
Ingredients
White bread – 6-8 slices
Pork liver (or beef / chicken / turkey) – 200 g
Onions – 60 g
Semolina – 3 teaspoon
Egg (small) – 1 pc.
Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
Ground black pepper – to taste
Vegetable oil (for frying) – 2 tbsp
Directions
Prepare all the ingredients you need to make hot liver sandwiches. Any liver of your choice is suitable for them, I took pork. You can also use any bread: wheat, rye, corn, or bran.
Peel the liver from films, rinse and cut into small pieces. Place them in a deep container.
Peel and finely chop the onions. Add the onion to the liver.
Punch the liver and onion with a hand blender until smooth.
Break the egg and add it to the liver mass. This amount of liver requires a very small egg or half of a large egg.
Pour semolina into a bowl with liver and egg, salt, and pepper.
Mix everything well and leave for 5 minutes to swell the semolina.
Cut the loaf into slices (I took the already sliced bread). Apply the liver mass to one side of the bread slice.
Pour half of the vegetable oil (1 tablespoon) into a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in a skillet with the filling facing down and grill them for 2-3 minutes. Turn the sandwiches upside down and fry on the other side for another 1-2 minutes, until the bread is brown. Remove the prepared sandwiches onto a plate and sauté all other sandwiches in the remaining oil.
Appetizing hot biscuit sandwiches are ready. Serve them to the table either right away while they are hot, or after chilling them – they are also very tasty when cold.
