Ingredients

  • 1 liter milk
  • 12 saffron threads, lightly pounded in a mortar
  • 5 carnation (s)
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon, ground
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon pistachios, finely ground (use almonds if necessary)

Instructions

  1. Bring milk with saffron, cloves and cinnamon to a boil.
  2. After the milk has frothed, simmer for another 5 minutes over a low heat.
  3. Remove the milk from the stove and remove the cloves.
  4. Let the milk cool down a bit and stir in the honey.
  5. Pour the drink into large glasses and serve sprinkled with the pistachios or almonds.
