Hot Sandwiches with Sausage and Potatoes (in a Pan)

Hearty hot sandwiches with potatoes and sausage are prepared very simply and quickly – in a pan. This nutritious snack made from the most affordable ingredients is a great breakfast solution or an addition to a cup of coffee or tea.

Ingredients

  • Baton – 8 slices
  • Potatoes – 1 pc. (150 g)
  • Sausage – 70 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Green onions – 10 g
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) – 2-3 tbsp

Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes, wash, coarsely grate and transfer to a deep bowl.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the egg.
  4. Cut the sausage into thin strips and add to a bowl.
  5. Rinse green onions, dry, chop finely and also send to a bowl.
  6. Mix everything well.
  7. Apply a thin layer of potato mass to each slice of bread.
  8. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwiches in the skillet, potatoes side down. Press down a little, reduce heat to low, and fry the sandwiches for about 5-7 minutes, until golden brown. Then turn over and cook for about 2 more minutes.
