Ingredients

  • 350 g apples, cored and peeled
  • 80 g onion (s), finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 200 ml white wine vinegar
  • 170 grams sugar
  • 80 g raisins
  • 1 teaspoon, heaped mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon, heaped ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ chili powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the onion cubes with sugar and white wine vinegar for 2-3 minutes. Cut the apples into medium-sized pieces and add. Continue cooking until the apples are almost soft. Then mash a little mushy with a potato masher. Small pieces of apple should still be included.
  2. Add the raisins, salt, mustard, garlic, ginger powder and chili powder and simmer everything together for another 2 - 3 minutes.
  3. The recipe makes about 800 g of chutney.
