Ingredients

  • 500 g steak (s) or fillet
  • 16 asparagus, green, peeled
  • 16 spring onion (s)
  • 6 tablespoon rice wine, seasoned
  • 6 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oil (sesame oil)

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into 16 strips (about 1 cm thick) and pound them 0.5 cm thin. Place an asparagus and a green onion on top of the meat and roll it over both. Hold it together with a wooden toothpick.
  2. Do the same with the remaining meat, asparagus, and green onions. Place them side by side on a baking sheet.
  3. Mix the remaining ingredients (rice wine, soy sauce, sugar and sesame oil) and pour it over the steak rolls (for 30 minutes).
  4. Then grill everything for 5-7 minutes and put the rolls on a plate. Pour the marinade through a sieve into a small saucepan and cook it for about 5-10 minutes, until the marinade is a little thick. Pour it over the rolls with a spoon.
  5. Instead of asparagus and green onions, you can also use peppers, zucchini or mushrooms.
  6. It tastes good warm or cold. You can also cut the finished rolls into small pieces and serve with rice and Japanese cucumber salad.
