Ingredients

  • 300 g butter
  • 300 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 6 egg (s)
  • 400 g flour
  • 0.5 ½ pack baking powder
  • 250 g quark, 20 or 40% fat
  • 100 g desiccated coconut
  • 2 teaspoon, heaped cinnamon powder
  • 200 g chocolate
  • 400 g currants
  • 225 g strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Wash the currants and pluck them from the stems. Coarsely grate the chocolate.
  2. Beat the softened butter with sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Mix in the eggs one by one. Mix the flour and baking powder, gradually pour through a fine sieve into the dough and work in thoroughly.
  3. Spread half of the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Spread the chocolate evenly on top. Now put the currants on the dough.
  4. Divide the other half of the dough again into 2 equal portions. Mix one part with quark and the other with coconut flakes and cinnamon.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C top and bottom heat.
  6. Use a spoon to alternately place small dabs of coconut-cinnamon batter, quark batter and jam on top of the currants. Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes.
