Ingredients

  • 150 g butter
  • 500 ml milk
  • 50 g yeast
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom, ground
  • g 1,000 wheat flour
  • 75 g butter
  • 100 g suar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg (s), for brushing

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk to 37 ° C and dissolve the yeast in it. Stir in sugar, salt, cardamom, and almost all of the flour. Knead the dough until smooth, cover with a cloth and let rise for approx. 30 - 40 minutes.
  2. Add the melted butter and knead the dough on a floury work surface, divide into three parts. Roll out a thin rectangular area and brush with soft butter at room temperature. Mix the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle it thickly over the dough. Roll into a roll and cut into approx. 4 cm thick slices. Place the pieces on the baking sheet. Let the dough rise again like this. It will be about twice as big in 30 minutes.
  3. Brush the cinnamon buns with beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake on the middle setting in the preheated oven at 250-275 ° C for about 5-8 minutes.
