Instructions

  1. Grate the kohlrabi and carrots. Eight tomatoes. Cook the prawns in salted water for 5 minutes, strain and leave to cool.
  2. For the marinade, finely chop the garlic clove and the Thai red chili peppers or puree in a blender. Mix with lime juice, brown sugar and fish sauce. Stir in the vegetables and prawns and let them steep.
  3. Tip: If you don`t want it so spicy, take fewer chili peppers or even leave them out completely.
  4. A refreshing salad for the summer.
  5. The original is made with papaya instead of kohlrabi. Unfortunately papaya is very expensive here. You can also use green mango instead of kohlrabi.

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
