Ingredients

  • 250 g Kritharaki (noodles in rice form)
  • 1 onion (s), diced
  • 60 g tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pinch (s) cinnamon
  • 1 dash olive oil
  • 1 squirt lemon juice
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the kritharaki al dente according to the instructions on the packet.
  2. Meanwhile, mix the tomato paste, the squeezed garlic, a good dash of olive oil, a splash of lemon juice, a pinch of cinnamon, and salt and pepper.
  3. Steam the onions in a pan in a little oil for about 3 minutes until they are translucent. Mix with the mixed tomato paste and roast for 2 minutes.
  4. Drain the pasta and mix with the paste. Serve warm.
  5. Tastes very good with hearty Greek meat dishes such as Bifteki or Souvlaki.
