Today we offer our own recipe for Easter cake. Everyone gets this cake, even those who cook for the first time!

Ingredients

For dough:

  • Fresh yeast – 50 g
  • Milk – 1/2 cup
  • Flour – 1 tablespoon.
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon

For the test:

  • Chicken egg yolks – 8 pcs.
  • Chicken eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Wheat flour – 950 g
  • Butter – 200 g
  • Sour cream – 200 g (1 glass)
  • Sugar – 1.5 cups
  • Raisins – 2-3 handfuls
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon

For glaze:

  • Chicken egg whites – 2 pcs.
  • Powdered sugar – 150 g

For decoration:

  • Confectionery sprinkles – 50 g

Directions

  1. It is best to start cooking cakes with dough. To do this, take a large container and mix all the ingredients for the dough: lukewarm milk, yeast, flour and sugar. Leave for 20-30 minutes in a warm place for the dough to come up.
  2. Take 8 yolks and 2 whole eggs, beat well with a fork. Meanwhile, the dough will double. Add sour cream at room temperature, eggs, the rest of the sugar, a pinch of salt to it.
  3. Sift 2/3 of the flour into a bowl.
  4. Knead to a homogeneous dough and cover with a tea towel. Send to a warm place for 1.5-2 hours so that the dough doubles.
  5. Then add soft butter to the dough, mix.
  6. Add 2-3 handfuls of raisins and the remaining flour there. Leave the finished cake dough again to rise to double the volume.
  7. Fill out the forms 1/3 of the finished dough. Let them sit for another 10-15 minutes. Then send the molds to an oven preheated to 180 ° C, bake for 50-70 minutes.
  8. Lubricate warm Easter cakes with raisins with glaze and sprinkle with decorative sugar dusting.
