Kulich with Kefir and Margarine

We offer you a simple recipe for Easter cake, for which the dough is prepared with kefir and margarine. The taste of such an Easter cake without yeast is in no way inferior to the traditional one.

Ingredients

  • Kefir – 250 ml
  • Margarine or butter – 100 g
  • Eggs – 3 pcs. (incl. 1 glaze protein)
  • Wheat flour – 400 g
  • Sugar – 250 g (for dough) + 4 tbsp (for glaze)
  • Vanillin – 1.5 g
  • Soda – 1 teaspoon
  • Confectionery sprinkles – for decoration

Directions

  1. Melt margarine or butter. Separate the yolk of one egg from the protein. Break two eggs into a bowl and add one yolk. We will use the protein for the glaze.
  2. Add granulated sugar to the eggs.
  3. Beat eggs with sugar with a mixer.
  4. Pour kefir into the resulting lush mass.
  5. Add melted margarine.
  6. We introduce vanillin and soda.
  7. Beat again with a mixer.
  8. At the final stage of kneading the dough, add the sifted flour and mix well again.
  9. We send the finished dough on kefir and margarine into the mold.
    We bake kulich on kefir with margarine without yeast in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes.
  10. While the finished cake is cooling, prepare the icing. To do this, beat the egg white and 4 tablespoons of sugar well. Grease the cake with white glaze.
  11. Decorating a festive Easter cake with colored sprinkles.
