Ingredients

  • 200 g chocolate, bitter
  • 200 g butter
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 6 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon liqueur (Sambuca), or Strega, liqueur from Benevento, Campania
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Grind the chocolate as finely as possible in the mixer. Separate eggs, beat egg whites into snow.
  2. Beat the egg yolks, gradually add the sugar and beat with the hand mixer until the mixture is very creamy and almost white.
  3. Melt the butter. Stir in butter, liqueur, chocolate and almonds. Fold in the egg whites.
  4. Pour the dough into a greased form with a diameter of approx. 25 cm.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C top and bottom heat for 1 hour or 45 minutes at 160 ° C fan oven.
  6. Let the cake cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
