Lean Orange Poppy Seed Pie

Can a lean pie be delicious without eggs, butter and milk? Can! I got a very fragrant, juicy and tender orange pie with poppy seeds. Try to bake it, you won’t regret it!

Boil a glass of water by any means. Rinse the poppy seeds in cold water, pour boiling water over for 10 minutes.
Wash oranges. Cut off the zest with a sharp knife.
Cut the orange zest into pieces.
Squeeze juice from oranges. Strain the juice through a fine sieve.
You will need a glass of orange juice for the dough (250 ml) and another 40 ml for the syrup. If there is little juice, just add water to the required amount.
Drain the poppy seeds. Mix poppy seeds with sugar, grind with a blender or grind in a mortar with a pestle.
Sift flour into a bowl, add semolina and orange zest.
Then add vanilla sugar, baking soda and starch.
To stir thoroughly.
Add prepared poppy seeds.
Mix well.
Add vegetable oil and orange juice.
To stir thoroughly. Leave for 10 minutes to swell the semolina. Turn on the oven and preheat to 180 degrees.
Cover the bottom of the form with parchment. Grease the sides of the mold with vegetable oil and sprinkle with flour. Pour the dough into a mold.
Place the dish in the oven and bake the orange pie with poppy seeds for 40-50 minutes. Readiness can be checked with a wooden skewer. If you pierce the pie with a skewer, then it should come out completely dry.
Boil the syrup. To do this, mix the juice and sugar. While stirring, bring to a boil.
Brush the hot cake with orange syrup.
