Ingredients

  • 1 bunch spring onion (s)
  • 600 g Maultaschen, frozen
  • 400 g veetable mix, e.., Farmer veetables
  • 250 g quark, 20% fat
  • 100 g yourt
  • 1 tablespoon herbs, frozen, plus a few more for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • 2 tablespoon butter for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash, trim, and cut the spring onions into 2-3 cm pieces. Cut the frozen Maultaschen into strips.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the vegetable mix and fry for 6-7 minutes until lightly golden. Remove vegetables and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon butter to the pan over medium-high heat. Add the spring onions and Maultaschen strips and fry for 5-8 minutes until the onions are soft and the Maultaschen are heated through.
  4. Fold the cooked vegetables back into the pan and season the entire mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Mix the quark with the yogurt and 1 tablespoon frozen herbs in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, a pinch of sugar, and lemon juice to taste.
  6. Divide the Maultaschen-Gröstl onto serving plates. Garnish with additional herbs and serve with the quark sauce on the side.
